Topps Without Borders-2000

I am removing the borders from the Topps designs year by year.

This time it is 2000.

With border:

And without border:

I like the silver border a little less than the borderless one.

The picture seems to have more pop to it without the silver.

The contrast of the silver border next to the picture seems to take some color out of it.

And if it had shipped without a border I don't know if people would have said anything about it needing a border.

Side by side:

Up next, the gold set, 1999 Topps.

Thanks for reading.

  1. I like this one much better without the borders. I bet it would look even better with white letters instead of the ever-annoying gold foil.

    1. Yeah, it has more of a stadium club look to it.

The white letters would be solid because Upper Deck First Edition looks great just because you can read the white text and the silver foil you can't.

    1. I think everybody saw it as well.

I guess this means I am not as unique as my mind told me it was.

Damn brain! Get out of my head!

Wait, on second thought, just stay in there. I might need you later.
